MISSION STATEMENT

We, the people of St. Leonard Catholic School, parents, teachers and students, are called to dedicate ourselves to the mission of Jesus Christ.  Specifically, our purpose is to educate the whole child - spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially and physically.  We inspire our children with the highest Catholic Christian ideals of character, witness and service so that they may one day become active adult stewards of our Catholic Christian community and the world.

PURPOSE:

Message:     To foster and instill within each child the Catholic Christian values and
                        religious concepts needed for their daily life

Community: To develop a sensitive awareness of community, respectful of individual
                       differences, which leads to positive interactions with others

Worship:     1. To provide growing faith education for each child to live out teachings of
                          Christ in their daily lives
                     2. To provide opportunities for worship and celebration in small and large
                         groups as a way to experience a deeper relationship with God

Service:       1. To encourage community within our school and work to reach out to a larger
                          community in faith and love
                     2. To promote leadership, service, and social justice in our children through
                          the sharing of their gifts and talents
